Transitional Education Center (TEC)
TEC Staff
Two educational instructors, One pre vocational instructor, One resource center volunteer and a helper for each TEC are appointed through NGOs concerned with due screening through the selection committee.
The staff was trained by the District Institute for Education and Training (D.I.E.T). This 10 day foundation training covered the educational methodology, multi graded teaching, pre vocational training and child psychology focusing the importance of educating the child labour and developing their interests in education.

Education
The education in the TEC is focused on joyful education and child centered educational activities with the help of teaching learning material developed during the teachers training.
Mid day meal
The additional nutritious meal is provided by the project The lead school is also providing the children of the TECs the regular mid day meal khichdi.
Health
Regular health checkup of all Children is done by the doctors in the TECs and given medication. The Government Medical Officers also conduct health check up as part of their School Health Programme.
Resource center
The TEC is functioning as a resource center after the school hours which includes various individual and team games, additional coaching for children, library with books of stories and information and general knowledge and the centre also conducts parents meetings as well as the Self Help Groups' meetings. Karate and Yoga classes are also being conducted at some places.
Prevocational
The pre vocational inputs are also been imparted for developing basic vocational skills among the children. Training in simple things like chalk making, book binding, file making, embroidery, decorative articles, greeting cards, soft toys, key chains etc. is being given in the TEC.
Exposure Tours
The Children are taken for exposure visits to various institutions by the TEC staff and the Community Workers, like 'Know Your Police' Exhibition, Siddhartha Garden, Picnic spots in the district like Ellora Caves, Ajanta Caves and tourist spots.
